Become a Docent: Becoming a docent does not require any prior expertise in architecture, history or museum work, but it does demand commitment and enthusiasm. Expand your horizons and meet energetic people with a common interest. Once you complete docent training, you will share your knowledge with visitors from all over the world!

Event Opportunities:  Historic Waco has new and returning events every year, from historic murder mysteries to lectures on various topics! Our volunteers help with research, greet the public, and sometimes play characters in our events!

Outdoor Help: We could use your help in planting, upkeep of the grounds, and assistance with other maintenance and landscaping as needed.

Teen Volunteers: If you are a high school student interested in history and want to get involved with HW, please visit our High School Historians page to learn more about our teen volunteer program!
